Privacy Policy

1. Overview. The BSA-AML Compliance Group LLC (the “Company” or “we”) has created this privacy policy to describe what personal information we collect on the Company’s websites (“Sites”), how we use and disclose that personal information, and the measures we take to protect the privacy of personal information. Your continued use of any of the Sites means you accept the terms of this Privacy Policy (“Policy”).


2. Information Collected. When you use the Sites, we collect personal information that you provide to us, including:


If you request information from us, we may collect your name, email address, or other contact information.
• When you complete registration forms, or otherwise provide us with your details as part of a registration, for example when you register an account with us, register to attend one of our events (whether as a delegate, exhibitor, speaker, or attendee), or subscribe to our mailing list. This information might include your name, title, address, email address, phone number, payment card information, and other information relevant to the event or service that you’re registering for, such as nationality or information about your profession or education.
• If you choose to communicate with us, we will collect any personal information that you provide in correspondence or communications.
• If you submit content to us on our Sites, through our social media pages, or otherwise, we may collect any personal information you provide through surveys, comments, feedback, posts, or any other content submitted.
If you choose to attend one of our events, we may need to collect information to verify your identity, such as your driver’s license or other identification card information. We may provide badges that hold your registration details, including personal information, at certain events to limit access to registered attendees. In that case, we may collect information about your attendance at the event and which exhibitors or sponsors that you engage with.


In addition to the personal information that you provide to us, we may automatically collect certain information about your use of our Sites, including your IP address, location, device information, operating system, browser type, referral source, access times and length of visit, and pages you request. This information may be collected by a third party website analytics service provider on our behalf and/or may be collected using cookies. We also use cookies and pixels in our emails to track delivery and open rates, the results of which are stored against your email address and profile.


We may also collect publicly available information including names, job title, employer, telephone, information you make public through social media, and professional contact details.


3. Use of the Collected Information. We may use the information we collect for the following purposes:


•To provide our services to you, including registering you for events and processing transactions initiated by you;
• To communicate with you, including responding to your inquiries and alerting you of new services and important news;
• To assist us in providing you quality customer service;
• To maintain, improve, and evaluate the effectiveness of our Sites;
• To enforce our terms of service or to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and/or that of you or others;
• To operate our business, for example, in order to comply with our legal obligations or conduct audits; or
For any other purpose for which we notify you and, if applicable, obtain your consent.

4. Disclosures of Information to Third Parties. We may disclose personal information to third parties as follows:


• To our service providers, agents, and business partners in order to fulfill transactions, provide services you request, or otherwise operate our business;
• To other attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, or our business partners if you choose to attend one of our events and agree to share your information, for example if you allow an exhibitor or sponsor to scan your badge;
• To (i) comply with the law or legal process, (ii) protect the personal safety or property of the Company, our customers, or the public, (iii) protect or defend our rights or property, or (iv) protect against misuse or unauthorized use of this Site or our services; or
• To other third parties after notifying you and, if applicable, obtaining your consent.


The Company may on occasion use and disclose anonymized or aggregated information, such as demographic data or statistics. Such information will not include identifiers.


5. Cookies. A cookie is a small data file that is written to your computer’s hard drive when you visit a website. We use “cookies” on some of the pages on the Sites to facilitate access to different aspects of your account across the Sites, remember choices that you make on the Sites, and analyze how visitors use the Sites so we can maintain and improve them. You may be able to decline cookies through your browser settings, but you may not be able to access certain features or content on our Sites or you may be required to re-enter information more frequently during your session if you decline cookies. The Sites do not respond to “do not track” signals sent by Internet browsers.


6. Correcting and Updating Your Information. You can request that we correct, modify, or delete certain information you previously provided on this Site by sending a message through our Contact Us page. Please note that due to legal/regulatory, technical, or systems constraints, we may not be able to completely remove all your information from all of our databases in response to your request. We may also need to retain contact information if, for example, you are registered for one of our events, so we can send you information related to that event.


Note that if you choose to post information to the Sites, for example in chat rooms or message or feedback areas available on the Sites, once posted, you cannot change or remove postings. Because such information will be public, please exercise caution when posting such information.


7. Opting Out of Email Communications. If you do not want to receive e-mails from the Company, please let us know by sending a message through our Contact Us page. We will remove your name from our list as quickly as reasonably possible. You can also unsubscribe by clicking the link in the footer of any of our e-mails. Please note that if you opt-out of e-mail communications, we may still send you e-mails in response to your inquiries or as part of our provision of services to you (e.g., registration confirmation e-mails).


• Third Party Collection of Information. The Company is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties that you may interact with in the course of using our Sites or attending one of our events.


Third Party Analytics Providers. We may use third party analytics providers to help us understand how users use the Sites, and these third parties may collect information about you over time and across different sites when you visit the Sites. One of the third-party services that we use is Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as how often users visit the Sites, what pages they visit, and what other sites they used prior to coming to our Site. You can learn more about how Google collects and uses information through Google Analytics at www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners.


• Links to Other Websites. The Sites may contain links to other websites that are not operated or controlled by the Company (“Third Party Sites”). Use of any information you provide to or on these Third Party Sites is governed by the privacy policy of the operator of those websites. Therefore, we encourage you to review that Third Party Site’s privacy policy and terms of use whenever you visit such websites. The Company is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of Third Party Sites.

Badge Scanning. We may provide badges so that you can access our conference and certain events. If, at those events, you hand your badge to an exhibitor or sponsor for them to scan, you are consenting to your personal information being passed to the exhibitor or sponsor. If you do not wish for your information to be passed on, please do not allow your badge to be scanned. The third-party use of your details will be in accordance with its own privacy policy and is not covered by this Privacy Policy.


9. Security Efforts. We strive to make this is a secure Site. However, information transmitted via e-mail is not secure or encrypted. Also, it may be possible for an unauthorized person to gain access to your information notwithstanding our use of security measures. Therefore, please note that you enter information in this Site and communicate via e-mail at your own risk.


10. Revisions to this Policy. The Company reserves the right to change this Policy at any time. When we update the Policy, we will post it to this page, and if applicable, provide notice to you of the changes. We encourage you to periodically visit this page to review the Policy for any such changes. By your continued use of this Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by the current Policy posted on the Site at the time of your visit.
